			Here are some of our favorite, easy ideas for celebrating spring. Vases of tulips are always popular but consider using a budding cherry branch instead. No blooming branches near you? Many florists offer budding branches in late spring and even summer. To display, do as you would with flowers: Cut the base of the branches before putting them in warm water, then add a few drops of bleach to prevent bacteria. Display away from direct sunlight, and change water and snip the ends every few days. Who says exquisite tabletop displays only belong inside? Sun-loving and low-maintenance short-profile sedum and succulents add texture and subtle color to your outdoor dining. You can find these at many garden centers or nurseries. Plant in succulent/cactus soil that discourages water retention and use a low-profile container with ample drainage. Your fireplace doesn't have to be an eyesore in the summer. Place a candelabra in the firebox so that the lit candles provide atmosphere without the heat of a fire. Or, open up your room with a decorative mirror mounted on a floor-stand. If you're feeling avant garde, paint several coats of oil-based high-shine paint on the 'cut' ends of the logs for a bright lacquer-meets-nature effect.


	Before After		Simple tips for Spring Cleaning: Spring is in the air and so is the need to get organized! Sometimes knowing where to begin can be overwhelming, so start small...like your junk drawer! Start with taking all items out of drawer, then go through and toss all expired coupons, unnecessary papers, and odds & ends. Invest in an expandable drawer organizer (starting at less than $20 at Container Store). These are easy to install and provide compartments to keep like items grouped together.
