3 Tips To A Beautiful Holiday Table
  • Start with a basic, solid colored tablecloth or a table runner. Many a dramatic table has featured a white tablecloth, silver and fine china. Our table has the bare table with a runner for a more minimal look that works with our client's decor. Then we added sparkly festive accents, greenery and candles to warm up the table. The turquoise color was chosen to compliment the silk window treatments that we had made for her some months ago.
  • Create a theme or motif for your Holiday Tabletop Display based on color (as appropriate for the holiday) or a collection of items from your home. A group of silver, glass or crystal, or even “things that are white” will do. Then add some form of greenery, whether it’s artificial or trimmings from a tree or shrub in your yard. A grouping of cherished objects and the right trimming can personalize your table to be one of a kind.
  • Never underestimate low cost décor. Using colorful ribbon as bows or napkin rings will make an inexpensive and powerful addition to any holiday display in your home. We love Home Goods, Pier 1 and Crate and Barrel for decor that adds drama and fits your budget. To see more pictures of the beautiful Morningside home, click here.
